About P.S.D.C.
The Pagan Socialist Democratic Caucus is dedicated to advocating for the rights and representation of pagans within the Democratic Party. We are a community-driven organization that fosters inclusive dialogue and collaboration among pagans who share progressive values. Our mission is to create a political space where pagan voices are heard and respected, and to ensure that our unique perspectives contribute to the broader political discourse. We invite all like-minded individuals to join us in shaping policies that reflect our beliefs and values, promoting a society that honors diversity and spirituality.
What About Separation of Church & State
If we support the separation of Church and State, why is it that we, a religious organization, are seeking influence in politics?
That is a misunderstanding. While we are a religion-based caucus, we are not a religious organization. We are here as a way to aid in organizing like-minded individuals. While we do provide statements that follow a specific subset of beliefs, we do not mandate our caucus members to vote that way in which we recommend.
The current United States Supreme Court Justices are in the midst of dismantling the Constitution and rights of the People. We condemn their actions and are working towards a policy to restructure this Court.
F.A.Q.
What group(s) are you currently associated with?
None. The Pagan Socialist Democratic Caucus is an independent organization. We are not affiliated with the Democratic Party, though many (if not all) of the endorsements we have will stem from that party. Nor are we affiliated with the Democratic Socialists of America. However, our members may be directly affiliated with one or both. As an organization, we do not control the Party one chooses to belong to, though we have yet to endorse a candidate from the Republican Party.
Are you recognized by any other organizations?
We have not reached out to any other organizations or groups for any form of recognition. We have not received any notifications of being recognized by other organizations or groups. That said, this does not mean that others would not recognize our validity, but that is there choice.
How are you a socialist organization?
The policies that the Pagan Socialist Democratic Caucus advocates for are considered socialistic policies. We have no issue with this as we would prefer to be humanitarian over elitist.
How are you a caucus?
A caucus is a group that is formed around an identity. Ours is that of being Pagan; however, this does not restrict non-Pagans from joining our caucus as a supporter.
The Founder
Cer is the founder of the Pagan Socialist Democratic Caucus, bringing together experience in political organizing, religious education, community leadership, and advocacy. With a background spanning public service, spiritual leadership, and authorship, he founded the Caucus to help build a political space where Pagan voices are represented, individual liberties are protected, and democratic participation is strengthened.
Cerddwr holds a Master’s degree in Physics and a Doctorate in Religious Education, combining a foundation in scientific inquiry with advanced study in religious education. This multidisciplinary background informs his approach to leadership, which values critical thinking, intellectual independence, religious freedom, and the dignity of every individual.
His political experience includes serving as a Democratic Party Precinct Captain for four years and founding and managing the Reject Project 2025 group. These experiences provided him with practical involvement in political organization, grassroots engagement, and issue-based advocacy.
Beyond political work, Cer is the founder of Pagan Path Seminary and the Sacred Shield Pagan Tradition. A High Priest since 2012 and an Adept/Magister since 2017, he has dedicated years to spiritual practice, religious education, and the development of Pagan communities. As an author, he also contributes to the written exploration and preservation of ideas, beliefs, and traditions.
Cer previously served as a priest within the Independent Sacramental Movement. Although he no longer serves under an assigned ecclesiastical jurisdiction, he has not been laicized and continues to draw upon his experience in religious service and spiritual leadership.
As founder of the Pagan Socialist Democratic Caucus, Cer seeks to advance a vision of democracy that recognizes Pagan citizens as an integral part of the broader civic community. His leadership is grounded in the principles of religious liberty, bodily autonomy, equality, pluralism, and the protection of individual rights. Through the Caucus, he aims to create opportunities for Pagans and their allies to participate meaningfully in the democratic process, advocate for shared principles, and help shape a more inclusive political future.
